Frequently Asked Questions
What does 24 hour service really mean?
It means with screen printed, one-color imprinted cups, if we get your order & art by Noon Central one day, we will ship the following production day... when requested on the PO. This timing does not start upon receipt of approved, perfect art, as with many suppliers. We just need the PO & a copy of the art. Even if the actual art is a useless JPG (or worse), we can arrange to have the art redrawn into vector and still ship on time.
Is same day production possible?
Yes, in most situations we can help, but you must first call the factory and get permission to submit such an order. As with our 24 hour service, we do not charge extra for this rush service.
Are all of your cups made in the USA?
Yep... you betcha.
Are all of your cups and inks BPA, Cadmium & lead free?
Yes. Product testing certifications available upon request.
Is your product compliant with CPSIA & Proposition 65?
Yes. Since our drinkware is not designed or intended primarily for children 12 years of age or younger, our product does not fall under the guidelines of CPSIA. The testing & labeling requirements of CPSIA do not apply to our product. However our product does fall under the guidelines of the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) & Proposition 65 and undergoes 3rd party laboratory testing to ensure compliance with these & other guidelines. Our drinkware & inks do not contain any harmful products listed under Prop 65, so our cartons require no special labeling or statements.
Are any of your products made from recycled materials?
No. All of our drinkware is made from food grade, virgin resin in order to comply with the above government regulations. The pre-consumer reject material is recycled & used in other, non food grade products. The Food & Drug Admin. controls the production of these cups & would not allow just anything to be thrown into the mix. You wouldn't want to drink out of a cup that was made from old pesticide containers... would you? However, stadium cups are a very green product. They are reusable and recyclable... not disposable.
Are your stadium cups biodegradable?
No... and never will be. There is a lot of hype about biodegradable stadium cups, but even some manufacturers of this product will state it is simply a marketing ploy. First of all, any such item placed in the bottom of a landfill will degrade VERY slowly... if at all. Studies have shown that newspapers taken from landfills can still be read after 40-50 years, so what do you really think will happen to a plastic stadium cup? But even if it degrades eventually, my question is, what's the point? Think of the carbon footprint & all the energy used to manufacture a plastic stadium cup. The oil is pumped out of the ground in say, Saudi Arabia. This oil is then shipped across the globe to a refinery in the US, where considerable resources are expended to refine this into polypropylene resin. This polypropylene is then shipped to a manufacturing facility, where considerable resources are expended to mold this resin into a plastic stadium cup... which is reusable & recyclable. Then additional resources are expended to imprint this product. So now, just because an additive that supposedly will allow the resin to degrade is added to the cup, we want to throw this normally reusable, recyclable product away... after one use? How is that green? The tenet of eco friendly living involves the 3 r's... reduce, reuse & recycle. A stadium cup, by itself does all of those. Making it biodegradable does not. My point is distributors must learn to separate marketing ploys from solutions which truly work toward eco friendly living.
What is your policy on over/under runs?
We always ship exact quantity ordered.
Can I email my order to you?
Most certainly. We find the most convenient method is to email both the PO & the art to customer service, at
orders@dooleycups.com. We strongly request you submit 100% vector art, with no placed images & all fonts converted to outlines, curves or paths... whatever your software calls it. We also need to view the art in a form that is uneditable, so as to ensure your vector art did not get modified during transmission/translation. Examples of such files would be JPG or PDF. Actually a vector PDF is what we consider the perfect file format for transmission of art. It can be 100% vector yet can still be viewed by all as uneditable when opened with Adobe Reader.
Is there a convenience fee to use credit cards?
Nope.
Which credit cards do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard & American Express.
Is special packing an option?
No, not normally. Contact the factory with your request to see if we can help.
Do colored cups cost more than white?
Not with screen print. Yes, they are more expensive to make however we choose to average the price & not have a colored cup surcharge. We do this because most screen print orders are for colored cups. Now with offset printing, almost every job is on a white cup, so we do have a colored cup surcharge if someone chooses to offset print on a colored cup.
Do fluted cups cost more than smooth?
Not with screen print. Yes, they are more expensive to make however we choose to average the price & not have a fluted cup surcharge. We do this because many screen print orders are for fluted cups. Now with offset printing, price is a huge concern for many buyers, so we provide pricing for the normal type of order... smooth white cups. So there is a surcharge to offset print on fluted cups and/or colored cups.
Where do I send my art?
Art can be send directly to the art department at
art@dooleycups.com. However, if submitting artwork for a new order, we find the most convenient method is to email both the PO & the art to customer service, at
orders@dooleycups.com.
Where will the order ship from?
All screen print orders & most offset orders are printed & shipped from metro Memphis, TN. Larger quantity offset jobs might be shipped from other locations.
How will my order ship?
We ship per your instructions. Most domestic orders are blind shipped by either UPS or FedEx. By using either of these services we can properly track the packages and you will receive an emailed shipping notification with included tracking number.
